Institutional Planning & Operations, Rutgers University

In my current role as a UX Designer, I lead the planning, design, and development of website and intranet platform for Rutgers University’s Division of Institutional Planning & Operations (IP&O). I specialize in creating intuitive, accessible, and responsive digital experiences that enhance user engagement and strengthen institutional branding across a high-profile web presence.

IP&O Website

In my current role, I design, develop, and maintain the IP&O website, which serves as both a public-facing site and an internal employee intranet. Built on Drupal CMS, the site leverages HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and Twig, including custom themes, templates, and widgets. I apply UX best practices in information architecture, accessibility compliance, responsive design, SEO, and web analytics. I oversee website security, updates, migrations, and ensure adherence to university branding and web standards.

IP&O News Articles

In my role, I help shape the IP&O news articles as a core part of the website’s marketing platform. The content takes a story-driven approach that highlights each group’s successes, ongoing projects, and case studies, reinforcing newsletter content while showcasing the scope of IP&O’s work. The dynamic homepage features create a strong first impression, while news and knowledge-based articles support both external storytelling and internal engagement across the site.

IP&O Employee Intranet

The IP&O website also serves as an internal employee intranet, providing secure access to staff-only resources, tools, and information. Access to internal content is protected through the Central Authentication Service (CAS) using Rutgers’ NetID Login. Employees authenticate using their NetID and password. This dual-purpose design allows IP&O to offer both public-facing content and a centralized, secure workspace for employees within a single website.
